Jack the Ripper Walking Tour

  • Ever want to guide innocent travelers into the mind of Jack the Ripper?
  • Ever want to be a travel writer?
  • Ever take a tour and think to yourself that you could do a better job?

Now is your chance! Put your knowledge of Jack the Ripper to the test by writing a Jack the Ripper walking tour with all of your closest Internet friends.

Geogad, Inc. creates and distributes free downloadable MP3 walking tour from the Geogad web site. So far, the half dozen or so tours have been written by Geogad's in-house staff. But that is not very Web 2.0. Geogad does not want to dictate to travelers what they see and hear. We want you to tell us what you think belongs in an MP3 walking tour that follows in the footsteps of the notorious Jack the Ripper.

Does this sound like fun? Great. But before we get started, let's cover some of the basics on writing the tour.

  1. When you contribute to this Jack the Ripper tour, you are granting Geogad a license to all of your content. This includes all content including any text that you write or images that you upload. This is the only way that Geogad can create the tour in a form of a free MP3 walking tour for everyone to download. To get all the details on contributing content to Geogad, just check out Geogad's Terms of Use page. The main points of interest with respect to submitting content and licensing is located in this Terms of Use section.
  2. Most important, don't contribute something that is not 100% owned by you. Plagiarism is never cool.
  3. This tour may be listened to by travelers who have never heard of Jack the Ripper. Include good descriptions of terms and ideas that may be new to these 21st century travelers who have not spent any time thinking about the 19th century.
  4. Many people have opinions about Jack the Ripper. If you want to discuss some of your opinions, state them clearly as opinions and not as facts.

If this all sounds good to you, then click over to the main page of the Jack the Ripper tour. If you want some info on how to add content and how to format your content, this page should answer your editing questions.

Have fun!
